Holiday Auction: Wrapping up Makers Market and Silent Auction into One Present
Q&A
Q: Why aren’t you accepting the usual items like picture frames, pillows, candles, silver serving dishes, purses, etc?
A: This year we want to concentrate on those items that are the most popular.
Q: If I want to make a donation after the November Meeting, what do I do?
A: Before November 30th, contact Christine Marks if your item is a Makers Market or Edible item. If your item is a Consumable or Experience, email Donation Item Form to Pat Paulin and bring your display ready item along with the form to Club Roma, Gemini Room, between 3-4pm on December 10th.
Q: What is an experience?
A: Experiences such as: provide a lesson in how to setup/use your new phone or watch, a round of golf for 2 at a private Golf Club, boat ride along the shores of Lake Ontario, the list is endless. CLICK HERE for more ideas for experiences.
Q: What if I am uncertain whether my idea for an experience is suitable?
A: Contact Pat Paulin to discuss.
Q: What do you consider display ready?
A: Display Ready means that the items or poster can be placed on the auction table without any additional work needed.
Q: Why can’t you display Gift Cards or Tickets?
A: Pls do not affix gift cards or event tickets to your poster. We have had some mistakenly misplaced in the past. GC & tickets will be held separately by the Auction team & handed to the highest bidder.
Q: How do I know what to put on a poster?
A: Contact Pat Paulin for assistance creating or printing posters. For samples of posters CLICK HERE.
Q: What if I can’t drop off my item at Club Roma?
A: Check with other members to see if they can take item for you.
Q: Is this a sale or an auction?
A: This is an AUCTION. Anyone can bid on any item displayed. Makers Market, Baking & possibly other items will have a minimum bid.
