CFUW St. Catharines has provided a number of scholarships and charitable donations for many years to reflect our Club’s Mission

❖ the improvement of the status of women and human rights
The purpose and objectives of CFUW St.Catharines Charitable Fund is to provide
❖ scholarships and bursaries for post secondary education to deserving students
❖ donations to other charitable organizations
Funds to support our Club’s Charitable Donations Program are raised through our annual House Tour which is held each year on the first Sunday in Mayand through generous gifts from our benefactors.
Our donations for the 2020-21 year include:

❖ CFUW Gift of the Arts – Niagara Education Foundation
❖ Niagara Symphony Orchestra Summer Camp
❖ Niagara Regional Science & Engineering Fair
a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to the encouragement of science in students within the Niagara Region
❖ YWCA Crisis Housing
provides inclusive programs, services and support for women and their children who are at critical turning points in their lives including emergency and supported transitional housing in St Catharines, girl-centered programming for youth and children throughout the region, and an employment service tailored for unemployed or underemployed women
❖ Gillian’s Place
dedicated to the creation of safety, shelter and support of abused women and their children and to community understanding of the issues of violence against women
❖ Bethlehem Housing and Support Services
provides transitional and supportive, affordable housing for singles and families who require support to gain the skills and stability necessary for independent living
❖ RAFT
provides shelter and support to homeless and high risk youth in Niagara
❖ Scientifically Yours
is a Brock University science adventure for grade 11 girls. This 2-day residential workshop is designed to encourage young women to study the sciences & pursue careers in science-related fields.
❖ Westview Centre 4 Women
is a weekly drop-in providing women of all walks of life with a safe, welcoming, and dignified environment where we are accepted and encouraged.
❖ Niagara Region Sexual Assault Centre
a non-profit organization that responds to the needs of survivors of sexual violence and through public education increases understanding and awareness of sexual assault related issues.
❖ Victim Services
connects victims with a support team of Crisis Responders to help deal with the impact of tragedy or crime.
❖ Kristen French Child Advocacy
services children and families in the Niagara Region who have been impacted by child abuse.
