Helping Us to Help Others
CFUW St. Catharines has provided a number of scholarships, awards and bursaries for post-secondary education to deserving female students and donations to local registered charitable organizations which support women and children. Our Giving programs reflect our Club’s Mission

The purpose and objectives of CFUW St. Catharines Charitable Fund is to provide
❖ scholarships, awards and bursaries for post secondary education to deserving female identifying students
❖ donations to other charitable organizations that support women and children
Funds to support our Club’s Charitable Donations Program are raised through annual Fundraising Events and through generous gifts from our members and benefactors.
Our donations ($10,500) for the 2025-26 year included:
❖ Community Crew – $1,000
Provides lunches to Niagara elementary school children
❖ FACS New Outlooks and Beginnings Program – $1,000
Prepares youth 15-21 to move from foster care to independence.
❖ Food4Kids Niagara – $1,000
Provides food on weekends and school breaks for elementary students
❖ Gillian’s Place – $500
dedicated to the creation of safety, shelter and support of abused women and their children and to community understanding of the issues of violence against women
❖ Niagara Region Sexual Assault Centre – $1,000
a non-profit organization that responds to the needs of survivors of sexual violence and through public education increases understanding and awareness of sexual assault related issues.
❖ Pathstone Mental Health – $1,000
Lead agency for children’s mental health services
❖ REACH Niagara – All Women Care Program – $1,500
Provides low-barrier, judgment-free healthcare through a mobile clinic
❖ SRCF Learning Centre for Niagara – $1,000
Helps children with dyslexia to read through Orton-Gillingham approach
❖ United Way – Hygiene Kits – $1,500
provides Hygiene Kits for people who may be experiencing homelessness, living in shelters, living in poverty or in precarious situations.
❖ Westview Centre 4 Women – $1,000
offers women a safe and welcoming environment with food, clothing, personal care facilities, computer/phone access, skill-building opportunities and support services.
