CFUW St. Catharines is a group of approximately 230 women who meet regularly to support a variety of community projects, as well as to socialize and network. Membership is open to ALL women who are interested in participating in the club’s programs and activities, and who support our organization’s goals, namely to:
- Promote & encourage the higher education of women
- Participate in public, social and cultural affairs with an opportunity for expression of united opinion, and
- Cooperate in the aims & projects of CFUW National and CFUW Ontario.
In addition to our monthly general meetings, our club has a variety of interest groups that provide more opportunities for friendship and career networking. Our annual Spring House Tour raises funds for scholarships and awards for women studying at local high schools, Niagara College and Brock University and for local charities that help women and children.
Other community contributions have included providing books for children, Adopt-a-Road, and working with local, provincial, and federal politicians to help local residents through initiatives such as our recent effort to help homeless youth in the Niagara Region.
New Members always welcome. Click here for more information.
