Tara Rosling has been a leading lady in Canadian Theatre for more than twenty years. In her eleven seasons at the Shaw Festival some favourite roles/productions have been: Maggie in Dancing at Lughnasa, Alice in Alice in Wonderland, Joyce in Top Girls, Mrs Erlynne in Lady Windermere’s Fan, Elizabeth in When the Rain Stops Falling Joan in St Joan, Catherine Sloper in The Heiress, Eliza Doolittle in Pygmalion, and Masha in Three Sisters. Tara has played upon the stages of numerous other theatres across the country: the Stratford Festival, National Arts Centre, Grand Theatre, Tarragon Theatre, Canadian Stage, Factory Theatre, Nightwood, The Company Theatre, Atlantic Theatre Festival, and Theatre NorthWest. Tara has been nominated for four Dora Mavor Moore Awards, and been the recipient of two.
Tara has also worked extensively in the world of film & TV. Most recently she can be seen as Esther Miller on the tv series IMPULSE (youtube red). Other credits include: Happy Place, The Handmaid’s Tale, Ransom, The Expanse, Murdoch Mysteries, The Firm, XIII, Crash & Burn, The Uncles, and The Five Senses.
Tara lives in Niagara-on-the-Lake with her husband, Patrick, and ten year old daughter, Eliana.
