About Mayor Mat Siscoe
Mat Siscoe, Mayor of St. Catharines (2022-2026)
Mat Siscoe was first elected to municipal office in 2010, as City Councillor of St. Patrick’s Ward. He served 11 years in this role, working on several committees. In early 2022, Mat was appointed to Regional Council. In October 2022, he was elected Mayor of St. Catharines.
Previous to his public service roles, Mat taught physics at St. Paul High School in Niagara Falls. He has spent a great deal of time involved with local youth sports as well as volunteering at several community organizations. Mayor Siscoe is currently Chair of Niagara Children’s Centre Board of Directors.
Mat and his wife have four children.
